Okay, first let's start with what the hell "STRENGTH" means...Let's keep simple: it's how much weight you can move. Endurance? That shit is different from strength and there's two types: Muscular endurance - that's how many times you can move that weight. Cardio endurance - that's aka cardio.
Now strong does NOt mean this:
This is the first shit people think of when talk about strength. The convo goes like this:
Me: So what are your goals?
Homo: I want to get stronger, but not like bulky-body builder strong.
THIS IS NOT WHAT STRENGTH IS ABOUT.
Being strong doesn't have to equal looking like that pic. What most folks are trying to communicate to me is that they want to have a functional body that will allow them to do their daily routine without feeling like this -->
To look like that buff chick...well, it's like making your fitness a full time job. I respect that shit even though that may not be my cup of tea. So...respect. However, I wouldn't say that that's what most of our members are seeking. Most homos at our gym want a happy and healthy sense of self. Like this homo right here: a perfectly good hybrid of muscular STRENGTH and muscular ENDURANCE!
Ok so how do you get strong as FUCK at TPS?
1. Do Private training
Now I'm not gonna try to sale you on this. You know damn well private training is like the Mercedes Benz of fitness and that we customize everything just for you etc...The real value here is working one on one on YOUR FORM. If you want to get strong (be able to move more weight around), your form has to be on FLEEK! <--still think that's a weird ass word..wtf does that even mean?!
2. Take all the Strength classes
Now just because you're not doing private training, doesn't mean we don't teach you proper form. This is why we keep classes under 12 people because how the fuck are you suppose to EFFECTIVELY teach a deadlift to a class of 20+ homos?! So overdose on these three classes: Oakland Booty, Mini-Bar and Hella Arms and Abs. These 3 classes have a specific built in strength portion, then we kick your ass with a muscular endurance portion aka you'll get STRONG as FUCK.
3. Graduate to our Bartending class
No we're not going to teach you how to make a martini, we're going to teach you how to clean and jerk (and a SNATCH)! This is an intermediate to advanced weight training class. We focus a little more hard core on strength that's why this class only allows 6 homos in it and requires trainer approval. The shit is gets real in here!
